Telefonica O2 Ireland Strategic Business Review

Strategic business review and determining commercial feasibility of outsourcing. Contracts negotiated on behalf of the client to the value in excess of €500m, co-ordinating staff of 350, resulting in savings for the business of 30% or €150m.
 

Responsible for determining the commercial feasibility of outsourcing the Network and IT infrastructure on behalf of Telefonica O2 Ireland and handling the commercial and financial negotiations to Managed Service Partners B.T. and I.B.M. respectively.
 

Project Involved:

• Advising C.E.O. and C.F.O. of which strategic partner to select as preferred supplier and responsible for recommendation to Telefonica O2 Board of contract signature to both Managed Service Partners.
  
• Managing requests for tenders from relevant managed service partners
  
• Subsequent evaluation of vendor offering
  
• Completion of the due diligence process with preferred supplier and
  
• Subsequent negotiation of commercial terms of the contract
  
• Co-ordinating staff of 350.

Result:

• Contracts were negotiated to the value in excess of €500m
• Resulting in savings for the business of 30% or €150m
